From Application to Graduation!

Loons Can Learn offers service and support to current and future international students who study, or intend to study, at Canadian universities, colleges and English as a second language schools.

Who are we?

Loons Can Learn is an enthusiastic group of recent graduates from Canadian colleges and universities dedicated to supporting international students in Canada. From the application process to graduation, Loons Can Learn provides a stable presence throughout the academic career of each student. We provide useful services, information and advice to both simplify and enrich the exciting experience of studying in Canada.

Loons Can Learn is pre-dominantly a membership based enterprise, although we also accommodate non-members as well. Each Loons Can Learn client is treated as an individual with unique needs and demands. For this reason, Loons Can Learn offers a diverse variety of useful services to international students.

How do we help students?

Early in the Loons Can Learn experience, each student schedules a guidance session with a Loons Can Learn representative. This is our chance to get to know the student in terms of personality, lifestyle demands, special needs, and goals. With this knowledge we can help each student choose the right Canadian university, college or ESL school to apply to. This is also our opportunity to share our own knowledge and experiences. Making sure each student can make informed decisions regarding their scholastic careers is of the utmost importance to us. For the sake of convenience, we can communicate with each student via telephone, e-mail, webcam, or in person.

 

We are with the student from application to graduation

After establishing the right city to live in, and school to attend, Loons Can Learn will stay in touch with members to assist them with many issues related to their international experience. These include: easy step-by-step guidance with the application process, resolving issues with immigration, and instructions on how to establish independence while living in Canada. Our advice is based on the specific needs of each student, and stems from our collective.knowledge, experiences, and research.

Upon arrival in Canada, a Loons Can Learn representative greets each newcomer and presents our welcome package. This package contains important and useful information such as: road maps, popular destinations, budgeting tips, cellular phone deals, banking packages, airline information, transit guides, and even tips on health and nutrition. We are careful to only include items that are of real value and are applicable.to.international students.

For many international students, living in a new country is an isolating experience. We want to change that by getting students involved! The Loons Can Learn local events calendar provides international students with the opportunity to make friends, have fun, and enjoy their time away from class.
